UNIC forms part of the new Clichy-Batignolles district in Paris, a high-density residential development shaped by a series of slender towers. Juan Valeros joined the project during the Design Development phase, taking responsibility for the technical
development of the building envelope and the refinement of the residential layouts. Over the course of a year, he coordinated both areas, ensuring coherence between architectural intent, technical performance and spatial quality.

The Facade
The façade adopts a modular aluminium system combining solid and glazed panels, with integrated external blinds for solar control and privacy. Its narrow vertical rhythm allows the system to follow the building’s curved geometry and accommodate the shifting floor plates, where slabs and balconies project or recess to create
a dynamic profile. This volumetric movement also demanded careful detailing to avoid thermal bridges, particularly in cantilevered areas and terraces. The result is a vertical, finely grained modular façade that contrasts with the horizontal, organic expression of the sweeping balconies.

Las Unidades
The continually shifting geometry of the tower posed a unique challenge for the internal organisation. Juan Valeros led the refinement and optimisation of the residential layouts, balancing structural logic with the distinctive spatial character of each unit. The project includes a mix of typologies—from compact apartments
to generous duplexes—designed to a high standard throughout. Broad balconies and extensive perimeter frontage reinforce the idea of living in height with the qualities of a standalone home, emphasising natural light, views and a fluid relationship between interior and exterior.
